To Stay at Sweden Youth Hostel
"Vandrarhem" means Youth Hostel in Swedish. Swedish Tourist Association - Svenska Turistf�reningen =
STF - has a network of about 300 youth hostels called "Vandrarhem". Everyone is welcome to stay
in the Swedish hostels. There is no age limit. STF is a member of the International Youth Hostel
Federation (HI), and membership cards of Organizations affiliated to the HI are valid
in all the Swedish youth hostels. Foreign visitors who are not members of an HI-affiliated organization
are invited to buy an International Guest Card at the price SEK 175 alternatively to pay an
additional fee of SEK 45 per night. The International Guest Card gives the holder access to all youth
hostels in the world. More than 150 Swedish hostels are open all the year round.
Opening times
Opening times refer to high season. Please contact the hostel during low season.
Overnight charge
is SEK 80-280 according to situation and standard. The additional charge for non-members is SEK 45.
Self service
hence the low price. Cleaning up is compulsory in the bedroom, washroom and members kitchen.
Advance booking
for individual visitors is advisable for the period from the middle of June to the middle
of August and necessary in winter. No answer can be expected unless reply postage
(International Reply Coupon) is enclosed. Visitors who have booked in advance must arrive before 6.00 p.m.
