Date: This tour runs on fixed dates.
It is also possible to book on other dates at least 4 participants.
Times & location: Check in at Kolarbyns reception at 9am. You have access to the huts from 9am on arrival day until 12 noon on day of departure. The tour start at 9.30am and then we drive in own cars to the horses, it take approximately 10 minute from Kolarbyn.
Participants: Maximum of 8-10 participants. The age limit is from 10 years and maximum weight is 90kg to ride the horses.
Price: SEK 1350 per person, not member SEK 1450 per person.
Included in price: Riding tour, loging in forest hut, lunch in the forest. (breakfast you bring your self, and also dinner) Access to the sauna at the frozen lake Skärsjön.
Accommodation: Berths in forest hut with sheepskin rugs.
Information: We recommend you to bring weather resistant clothing and footwear for hiking, warm clothing for cold nights, camera, binoculars, torch, sleeping bag, pillow, bathing suit, towel, water bottle, snacks.
Other options: Rent winter sleeping bag with small pillow (SEK 150).
Wilderness riding on winter
A wonderful and relaxing activity from Saturday to Sunday lunch. The experience includes one nights in a cozy forest hut with open fireplace, where you sleep on sheepskin rugs, riding on Icelandic horses and outdoor lunch in the wild.
Wherever you go, you are the white glistening snow-covered nature with lovely widths. The sun gets really warm and keep you warm on the cheeks, it is a serene and peaceful feeling that comes up within you. Magical is the word!
To go on a ride in the forests are a fast-paced and fun way to experience our magnificent scenery. During the tour you will have to take you out on horseback through forest and land, and discovering many wonderful and unique places in your way. At a suitable lake, we stop to be served a delicious locally produced lunch in the wilderness character. After a bit of coffee and cake, we continue the journey home to Kolarbyn and on the late evening walk down to the floating sauna for a relaxing end of the day.
