Children may stay for free at the youth hostel until and including the year they turn two years of age. This applies provided the child does not occupy a bed of its own. Travellers over the age of 15 are considered adults.

Group and conference bookings are not possible via the online booking system. Please contact the facility in question directly concerning any such inquiries. Child prices do not apply to group bookings.

Dates: Available to book during the period May 1 - October 30.

 

Times & location: Check in at Kolarbyns reception at 2pm. You have access to your hut from 2pm at arrival day until 12 noon at departure day.

 

Participants: 2 persons.

 

Price: SEK 995 per person include wildernessdinner in a basket and breakfast (self-service and outdoor) that you cook yourself over the fire.

 

Included in price: Lodging, meals as above

 

Accommodation: Berths in forest hut with sheepskin rugs.

 

Information: We recommend you to bring weather resistant clothing and footwear for hiking, warm clothing for cold nights, camera, binoculars, torch, sleeping bag, pillow, bathing suit, towel, water bottle, snacks.

 

Other options: Rent sleeping bag kit, include sleeping bag, small pillow and sheets
 (SEK 150).

Romantic Adventure in forest hut

Celebrate love with an unusual experience in the beautiful setting of the Bergslagen forest. In a forest glade by the shores of Lake Skärsjön a cosy little forest hut awaits you.

Disconnect yourself from everyday life for a while together and let the forest awaken the natural adventure inside you. In a private forest hut you will sleep well on sheepskin rugs in the light of the lanterns in front of the warming fireplace.

Here there are opportunities for refreshing forest walks. When you get hungry a tasty outdoor dinner will be cooked and you bake your own bread over an open fire - but first you have to chop wood and fetch water from the spring! After a delicious meal in the open air, you light the sauna down by the lake and take a dip under the stars in the moonlight in the clear water of Lake Skärsjön
