STF Hostel Fegen/Backa loge

The hostel dates back to the 18th century and is situated in Fegen nature conservation area with wonderful views over lake Fegensjön. Only the grinding of the jetty posts and the diver birds’ echo break the silence.

Except for the nights when visaftnar (song evenings) and other cultural events take over the barn.

The hostel is newly renovated and decorated to offer a charming and restful stay. There are seven rooms and one large living room. Several rooms have fireplaces and tile stoves, which add to the tranquillity and provide warmth for the body and soul. Guests stay in double rooms with a shared toilet and shower in close proximity. Canoes and rowboats can be rented for peacefully exploring the lake.

The shower is suitable for use by persons with disabilities. There is wheelchair access to kitchens and common rooms. At least two rooms are suitable for use by persons with disabilities.
