STF Hostel Lakene Gård

Lakene Gård lies by the river Klarälven, in the heart of Värmland. The farm is mentioned as far back as the 17th century, and is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the tranquillity from horseback, on foot, or with a fishing rod in hand.

The stables once housed working horses and the barn gave shelter to the farm’s cows. Today, the stable has been carefully renovated to retain its unique character, and it is now a modern hostel with guest kitchen, toilets and showers.

Below the hostel lies the lake where you can swim and fish. The farm has a covered stable with horses that can be rented for short and longer periods. The breakfast eggs are laid by the farm’s own chickens, and there’s even a dog and cat to complete the picture.
