STF Hostel Väddö/Älmsta

You are never far from nature and the ocean on Väddö in Roslagen. One of the larger islands in Sweden, Väddö offers peace and tranquillity combined with well-developed services, and private bays and secret spots are easy to find.

The hostel lies in Älmsta, the largest community on the island. Originally a vicarage, the house was the birthplace of famous Swedish artist Pehr Hilleström, and is close to the forest and ocean. Väddö channel is nearby and offers fabulous swimming and boating life. There are several football fields and a popular golf course connected to the hostel, and many choose to stay here when travelling to and from Åland via Grisslehamn.
