STF Arlanda/Jumbo Stay

Stay overnight in a real airplane, set in its natural environment near real aircrafts preparing for take-off. At Jumbo Stay, you will actually be staying in a remodelled 747-200 Jumbo Jet, with a view over the runway and with just a short walk to check-in at Arlanda.

Come and experience a piece of aviation history up close. The airplane was originally built for Singapore Airlines in 1976. Since that time, it has served six different airlines and finished its service in 2002 with Transjet. The 450 passenger seats have been removed and rooms for the hostel have been built, insulated, painted and decorated. 

The hostel is now located at the entrance to Arlanda as a spectacular landmark and a gateway to the airport. You can hardly stay closer to the airport than that. Jumbo Stay is only a ten-minute walk away from the check-in counter and Stockholm’s, Uppsala’s and Sigtuna’s cultural treasures are only a half hour away by car.

    This symbol shows that the hostel conforms to recommendations from the De Handikappades Riksorganisation (DHR): the entrance is level, or there is a ramp with maximum gradient 5 cm/m. The front door of the hostel and doors into the guest rooms and toilets are wider than 80 cm. There is at least 80 cm free space at the side of the lavatory and 130 cm in front. The shower is suitable for use by persons with disabilities. There is wheelchair access to kitchens and common rooms. At least two rooms are suitable for use by persons with disabilities.
