STF Hostel Stockholm/Jakobsberg/Barkarby

STF hostel Jakobsberg/Barkaby is located in distinguished premises in the old F8’s officers’ mess in the north west of greater Stockholm.

The modern functional buildings from 1938 are in an attractive setting near to the city, and close to the parklands of Järvafältet, great for walking and bicycle rides.

The hostel has been freshly renovated to include modern lodging, conference and event facilities, as well as a café serving breakfasts and catering. Rooms are from one to six beds, with a shower and toilet along the corridor. Several rooms have their own toilet and TV, and guests have access to a well-equipped shared kitchen.

The scenic areas around Lake Mälaren and the castle by Görväln are well worth a visit. There are many historical points of interest, bathing beaches, walking paths, a golf course and several hiking trails nearby. The hostel is just a stone’s throw away from the biggest retail outlet centre in Sweden.
