STF Hostel Utö

In the southern archipelago lies the island of Utö, with a fascinating history covering everything from soot-covered miners, war and cannon fire to society dances and the sublime Greta Garbo.

All of which makes Utö one of the most visited travel destinations in the Stockholm archipelago.

STF Hostel Utö has a genuine archipelago atmosphere and is located in one of the yellow buildings in the Gruvbyn (mining village), which dates from the last century. The house has two and four-bed rooms with a shower and toilet along the corridor and a shared kitchen and lounge with a veranda. Enjoy good food, a wonderful landscape and a relaxed atmosphere in an authentic archipelago environment.

The paths from centuries of iron mining are still distinct and dreamy to follow. In the village lies the guest harbour with shops, bike and kayak rental and an award-winning restaurant. You can also buy the famous Utö bread from here.

The shower is suitable for use by persons with disabilities. There is wheelchair access to kitchens and common rooms. At least two rooms are suitable for use by persons with disabilities.
