STF Hostel Sävö

The island of Sävö is a nature reserve located in the Bälinge archipelago between Trosa and Nyköping, and has long been a junction for the many sailing routes that run along the east coast.

There are several bathing locations around the island and the Sörmlandsleden (Sörmland trail) passes through here.

Sävö has been restored to its former glory. The hostel buildings date from the 1870’s, when they were used as accommodation for coastal pilots, and have since been renovated. You can rent a rowboat on the island for exploring the archipelago, and enjoy all the possibilities for outdoor life, which changes with the seasons. Don’t forget to bring a fishing rod - around Sävö you can catch many of the delicacies of the Baltic Sea.
