STF Hostel Visingsö

Hop on a ferry to the island of Visingsö, the ‘Pearl of Vättern’, where time and rhythm have a different pace.

Enjoy the serenity that comes from being close to nature and lovely beaches, or take a journey back in time and visit impressive historical places of interest.

The best way to experience the island is on two wheels. The rich history of Visingsö and the many iron-age burial grounds are evidence that the island has been inhabited for a very long time. Walk along paths through lush oak woods to the castle ruin of Visingsö, or to Näs, the island’s fort. Take a trip on a Remmalagen, one the island’s special horse drawn carriages, from the port, where you can also rent bicycles.

The Hostel Visingsö has single-bed and multiple-bed rooms. The showers and kitchen are in an adjacent building. There are lawns with barbecues around the house, and an outdoor pool, restaurant and beach are close by.
