STF Hostel Lönneberga
Lönneberga is the ‘fairy-tale’ heart of Småland. Here in Emil’s home district you will experience the Småland that you first got to know through Astrid Lingdren’s beloved stories.
A visit to Emil’s farm Katthult is a popular choice when visiting Lönneberga. It’s free to stroll around the grounds and take in the classic sites of the stories, like the wolf pit Emil dug or the joiner’s workshop where he used to sit. You can also simply walk around or play and take in the atmosphere from the past that still lives on here.
The hostel offers quiet accommodation for all ages, close to beautiful scenery. The rooms are individually decorated with two to six beds in each. Showers and toilets are near to the rooms. The village’s small beach and bathing place are a stone’s throw away and canoes and bicycles can be rented from the hostel.
The Lönnebergaleden hiking trail runs next to the hotel and passes sparkling lakes and ancient winding church roads dotted with traditional red and white Småland farm buildings.
