STF Hotel & Hostel Malmö City

The old slogan: “Haur du sitt Malmö, har du sitt varden”, which loosely translates to “If you have seen Malmö you have seen the world,” is experiencing a resurgence in the city.

Malmö has a distinctly European feel with its rich city life, relaxed attitude and unique appeal and character.

The new hostel Malmö City is in the heart of Malmö. It neighbours the Stadsteater (city theatre) and pedestrian streets beating to the pulse of the city are on the doorstep. There are plenty of cafés and bars and it’s never far to art, culture and design. Enjoy the Danish influenced architecture, examples of which can be seen in the red brick buildings and the half-timbering at Lilla Torg (Little Square). Guests at the hostel can choose from single- or multiple-bed rooms, most of which have a shower and toilet in the corridor.

Västra Hamnen - the Western Harbour - is one of Malmö’s newest city sections. This is where the sculptural Turning Torso building rises towards the sky, and you can see the bridge that unites Malmö with its big brother Copenhagen. There are great places to have coffee or a meal along the boardwalk by the beach, or simply enjoy a picnic on the smooth rocks.

    This symbol shows that the hostel conforms to recommendations from the De Handikappades Riksorganisation (DHR): the entrance is level, or there is a ramp with maximum gradient 5 cm/m. The front door of the hostel and doors into the guest rooms and toilets are wider than 80 cm. There is at least 80 cm free space at the side of the lavatory and 130 cm in front. The shower is suitable for use by persons with disabilities. There is wheelchair access to kitchens and common rooms. At least two rooms are suitable for use by persons with disabilities.
