Malmö Museum
Welcome – if you dare! – to the previous fortress and jail of Malmö. This is the place where rough criminals were imprisoned until 1909. At present, it houses museums, art galleries and a cafe. If you would like to know more about the fascinating history, follow the tracks of the prison cat down to the cellar vaults – exciting both for children and adults.
At another section in the house, the youngest children can look at fishes such as pikes and perches, but also exotic animals such as the slow loris. Hmmmm, now what is that?
On the top floor, there is always an interesting art exhibition on, don’t miss it! As an art interested, don’t forget the Malmö City Art Gallery where current and international art of high quality is always exhibited.
At the Technical Museum, you can get into a submarine and get fascinated e.g. of how the chef cooks for the whole crew in the minimal space that barely holds a stove. At the museum you’ll also find old motorbikes, so look out for grandpa – he’ll go nuts!
