Fair trade shopping
In Malmö you’ll find shops of all kinds, selling anything between famous brands to little unique botiques where no produt is equal to another. As a red thread there is a pedestrian street running right through the city centre.
Start at Lilla Torg, famous for its out door restaurants and night life. Move on through the shopping area and choose between any of the 800 stores in the city, some of them located in malls such as Baltzar, Hansacompagniet and Triangeln.
Around Davidshalls Torg, lots of second hand shops are located. A short walk to the north city centre, the Caroli City Mall is situated, and in another direction (towards Värnhem), the new mall called Entré is to be found. In the southern parts of Malmö, there is the smaller mall of Kronprinsen. Plenty of little shops distinct from the mainstream ones are located around the Möllevången area, and the square of Möllevångstorget is a market place for fruits and vegetables from all over the world. Throughout the whole city centre, there are plenty of restaurants, cafes and other places for a nice break.
Fairtrade
Malmö is a city with a wide range of shops selling ecological and fair-trade labelled products. And of course everyone living here is proud to live in the city that became the first fair-trade city in Sweden. Us consumers always have the opportunity to make the world a little better through an aware but simple choice of what kind of products buy. You´ve got the power - use it!
