STF Hostel Hästveda

To stay at a museum of local history is both a special experience and an historical journey, and Skåne offers just two opportunities to do this. The STF hostel situated in Hästveda is one of them.

The outdoor museum consists of an old and genuine settlement from the 18th century, while the Hästveda church with medieval paintings is nearby. The hostel is beautifully located in scenic beech woods and is close to a great bathing and fishing lake.

Hästveda is a Snapphane village (the ‘Snapphane’ movement, was a pro-Danish guerrilla organisation that fought against the Swedes in the 17th century). From Hästveda it’s not far to the countryside around the scenic lake Immeln. This is the place to paddle a canoe, go hiking or simply enjoy the tranquillity.
