STF Hostel Backåkra

Backåkra is an area renowned for its beauty: it is where the Backåkra, Hagestad and Sandhammaren nature reserves meet. Sandhammaren is famous for its white sand dunes that are constantly shaped by the wind and ocean.

Backåkra hostel lies in a unique position in the middle of the spectacular landscape. The pleasant and clean rooms range in size, and there are well-equipped kitchens and a lovely garden with a barbecue.

The hostel is near the mythical Ales stenar (Ales rocks), the medieval castle Glimmingehus and one of Sweden’s most beautiful sandy beaches that offer swimming until September. You can reenergize simply by experiencing the sheer quietness of the area, or exploring the surroundings by foot or bicycle.
