STF Hostel Rimforsa/Kalvudden

The hostel was originally built as a children’s summer camp in 1924, after a sum of money was donated to give city children the chance to experience rural life and breathe fresh air; returning to the city healthy, strong and filled with good food.

This thinking still applies.

STF Rimforsa/Kalvudden lies on an oak-covered hill beside lake Åsunden, a place where you can simply be while reenergising in a peaceful and rural environment. The hostel has family rooms where the children used to stay and a couple of double bedrooms that served as accommodation for the camp leaders. There’s also a shared kitchen in the house and a dining room with breakfast catering. All rooms have lake views, and showers and toilets are along the corridor.

Take a daytrip on the boat Kinda Kanal that runs all summer, with good food, beautiful views and the wonderful experience of travelling through fifteen locks.
