STF Hostel Borensberg/Göta kanal
In some of the best crayfish fishing waters in Sweden lies Borensberg, an historic glassworks that began manufacturing bottles in 1900.
The unique turn-of-the-century environment has been preserved, and today there is a shop, café and hostel in one of the renovated buildings.
Borensberg is situated on a peninsula between Göta Canal and the Motala Ström (rapids). Simply step through the door and into the great outdoors. Guests are accommodated in modern apartments each with their own shower, toilet and kitchenette. There are bicycles, boats and canoes to rent and at night you can relax in the wood heated sauna.
The hostel received an award in 2005 for being the hostel that offered guests the most inspirational nature and cultural experiences.
