STF Hostel Bergs slussar/Göta kanal

Berg’s locks lies alongside Göta Canal, the blue ribbon of Sweden, next to the canal’s longest flight of locks.

Treat yourself to an ice cream and enjoy a front row seat at the canal performance: leisure boats and passenger traffic make superb live theatre.

The location originally housed a granary, built in the 1850’s. After the granary burnt down, a house was built on its plastered limestone foundations. This house is now the hostel with single, double and multiple-bed rooms.

Göta Canal offers much to see and explore, and offers fantastic cycling along its banks. There’s also swimming in lake Roxen and many take trips to the old town of Linköping. During the daytime and evening boat trips can be enjoyed along the canal and in the lake.
