STF Mountain hut Syter
STF Syter is next to the Svärfar Stream in northern Storfjället. The hut was erected in 1923 as a starting point for alpine ski tours to Northern Syter Peak, 1,767 m.a.s.l.
Kungsleden (Royal Trail) passes the hut and onwards over the archipelago into the southern part Lake Tärna, over five suspension bridges and two beam bridges. Only a few kilometres from the hut, this lake archipelago is a wonderful outing destination.
Also, take advantage and discover Syterskalet, a u-shaped valley with extremely steep mountain sides and a verdant valley floor where Syter Stream finds its way.

You cannot book a bed in a mountain hut. You are, however, guaranteed a roof over your head. There are extra mattresses for those days when all the beds are taken.
