The hostel is beautifully situated with views overlooking the mountains and the valley of Åredalen, which is just 10 km outside Åre village. Live comfortably and peacefully, close to the wilderness, ski slopes and hiking trails.

Åre is well known within Sweden for its excellent skiing at Åreskutan, which also attracts visitors from further afield. Skiing is just one of the many reasons to visit Åre. Other attractions include: mountain climbing, paragliding, mountain biking, golfing and horse riding. Åre is a paradise for sports enthusiasts. The hostel also functions as a base for mountain hiking due to its excellent location close to the train station at Undersåker, as well as its proximity to the mountains, including Stensdalen, Gåsen and Lunndörren.

The hostel began life as a farm, and is the winter base for the Åre Ridcenter (riding centre). Most of the rooms have multiple beds and guests have access to a well-equipped shared kitchen. There are great transportation connections to Åre, with buses departing morning and evening.

The front door of the hostel and doors into the guest rooms and toilets are wider than 80 cm. There is at least 80 cm free space at the side of the lavatory and 130 cm in front. The shower is suitable for use by persons with disabilities. There is wheelchair access to kitchens and common rooms. At least two rooms are suitable for use by persons with disabilities.
