Welcome to Åre! Tourists have been coming here for many years to have fun and enjoy the good things in life. STF Hotel Åre Torg is right in the centre of the village and you can literally ski in, ski out. Quite simply, a economical accommodation here.

You can travel by ski, cycle or foot right up to the door of the STF hotel, Åre Torg. Genuine ski in, ski out! It is 50 metres to the cabin, and 50 metres to central square.

In winter, the alpine ski facilities at Åre are among the best in the Nordic region. Not for nothing have the World Championships been held here twice, most recently in 2007. Take a ride down the Störtlopp, the World Cup slope, or in any of the pistes used for competitions, and test your skills against the professionals.

In summer, you can experience speed and excitement in the same slopes, by downhill cycle. And if you prefer to travel by foot, many trails in the region are admirably suitable for day trips, and you can choose between walking boots and running shoes.

After a really good day outdoors, it’s great to know that the evening will be just as good. Åre has many restaurants, bars and nightclubs, all waiting for you to visit. How about a three-course gourmet dinner at Fjällpuben, with a show at Wallman’s afterward? Or a wicked hamburger at Broken followed by a drink or two at Dahlbom’s? Or what about dancing through the night at Bygget?

Accessibility for persons with disabilities

This symbol shows that the hostel conforms to recommendations from the De Handikappades Riksorganisation (DHR): the entrance is level, or there is a ramp with maximum gradient 5 cm/m. The front door of the hostel and doors into the guest rooms and toilets are wider than 80 cm. There is at least 80 cm free space at the side of the lavatory and 130 cm in front. The shower is suitable for use by persons with disabilities. There is wheelchair access to kitchens and common rooms. At least two rooms are suitable for use by persons with disabilities.

This symbol denotes that the hostel has a limited number of rooms for guests accompanied by pets. It is recommended that such rooms are booked in advance (except for at the mountain huts, where it is not possible to book in advance).
