Gaaltije - Sauna and Cold-spring

Gaaltije means cold-spring in the Sámi language and in this oasis the heat from the sauna will meet the chill from an indoor cold-spring. A pleasure for both the body and the mind and this is also a given meeting-place for our guests. You can sit here for a long time and think about what you have experienced during the day.

Our geusts really appreciates our sauna and cold spring, but it´s also very popular to make a stop here to enjoy the mountain view from a hot sauna and to take a shower before leaving the Jämtland Mountains and start the journey home.

If you are a hotel guest at Storulvån the sauna and cold spring is for free and if you are just passing by and want to use it, you just tell us in the reception and pay a small fee. We have a mixed sauna, but we do also have specific times set aside for just women or men.
