STF Hostel Vemdalen

Vemdalen has a long and genuine tradition in mountain tourism. Inviting mountains surround the village with challenging trails for bicycling, hiking and riding during summer.

Vemdalen also offers the opportunity to drop a line in some of Sweden’s best fishing waters, play golf over mountainous terrain or paddle a canoe. The traditional summer grazing huts ‘Fallmorans fäbodar’ are a wonderful destination, and have a delightful picnic spot beside a waterfall. 

The hostel is centrally located in Vemdalen village and has a long history, having welcomed its first guests as early as 1843. The business was then passed through the same family until the late 1960s.
