STF Hotel & Hostel Lassekrog

Forest rambles through the Ljusnan Nature Reserve are waiting for you at Lassekrogs Gästgiveri, and excursions by ski, dog sled or snowshoe, ice fishing, and exploring the forests. The forest, the natural world and peace are just around the corner.

Anyone seeking a genuine experience of the natural world in peaceful surroundings is in exactly the right place at Lassekrogs Gästgiveri. It offers the opportunity to weave together activities and adventures with periods of peace and reflection. The inn is one of the oldest in Sweden, receiving its licence as early as 1671. Every season is unique in the landscape of Hälsingland, and the natural world is here for enjoyment throughout the year.

Lassekrog offers hostel accommodation in light and airy, well-planned rooms, all of which have en-suite facilities. Or why not take a more spartan alternative in wood-burner’s cottages, where the shower and toilet are separate? These wood-burner’s cottages call to mind the river raftsmen who lived in them for long periods during the year. The cottage has a hearth in the centre, and it is your responsibility to keep the fire burning. The beds here are simple cots. For those with a yearning for luxury, the cottage can be equipped with lambswool rugs and glorious blankets.

There is a sauna in the cellar of the main house, and you can also have a wonderful outdoor experience with others in the wood-fired hot tub and sauna on the shores of Ljusnan. Children will enjoy the far-flung areas for play and activity. Here they can ride on kick-scooters or snowsleds, or watch the sheep grazing in the meadow. It’s easy to take a daytrip for downhill skiing at Vemdalen, Björnrike or Järvsö. Lasskekrog is at a convenient distance from all of these facilities.

The Lassekrog Hotel and hostel have both a restaurant and a cafe. The locally produced food is appreciated by guests who travel from afar, and the restaurant is listed in the White Guide, a book that lists the best restaurants in Sweden. Our cuisine is stamped with the watchwords genuine Swedish kitchen with local raw materials. You can fend for yourself and cook your own food at STF Lassekrogs Gästgiveri, or you can order meals in advance when staying here. You will not be disappointed by the radiant culinary experience.

Lassekrog is well set up for conferences and can offer all conventional conference equipment.
