Visit Gotska Sandön, a national park and the most isolated island in the Baltic Sea. Here you can walk for miles on white sand beaches or through virginal pine forests, on trails that lead you to different buildings and locations, each one possessing its own captivating story.
Today there is no resident population of Gotska Sandon. Previously Sandön population greater man ran sheep farming, agriculture and fishing. Before the automation of the lighthouses worked several lighthouse keepers on the island. Gotska Sandon is located in the Baltic Sea 38 km north of Faro in Gotland Municipality, Gotland County.
