Wendelsberg, a unique 19th-century wooden mansion, was once an elegant detached house built for a businessman named Bruno Wendel.
Today the building functions as a meeting place for people who wish to enjoy peace and tranquility while still having access to big city life. The hostel is just 10 km from the heart of Göteborg.
Wendelsberg is a striking combination of old and new. Guests stay in the modern house extension, while the lounge and dining room are situated in the beautiful main building. Wendelsberg offers an enjoyable atmosphere with accommodation in two or three bed rooms, most of which have their own toilet and shower. The facility is run by the Swedish Temperance Organization IOGT-NTO and the environment is completely alcohol free.
The hostel is wonderfully situated in a beautiful green environment: there are jogging tracks and a park area with ponds just around the corner, and a swimming lake with a jetty and diving board for refreshing dips located within walking distance.
