STF Hostel Håverud

Håverud is the heart of Dalsland. Here the highways, railways and waterways meet. The major sight is the aqueduct which was built in the 19th century.

From Håverud, you can take the canal boat for a brief or extended tour on the Dalsland Canal which runs from Lake Vänern to the Norwegian frontier.

The hostel is beautifully situated in the same building as the Canal Museum, right next to the Dalsland Canal and the famous aqueduct. Authentic surroundings are built up at the museum, which in a vibrant manner depict life during the period when the Dalsland Canal came into being and in the other ages.

In Håverud and its environs, there are facilities for paddling and fishing. There are even lovely hiking trails and paths for beautiful cycling tours. If you want to take a refreshing
