Olarsgården is a cosy hotel situated on the mountain at Sälen, just a stone’s throw from Sälfjällstorget. It provides easy access to the whole natural world that Sälenfjällen offers. The ski slopes are just 150 metres away, perfect if you visit in winter.

If you prefer cross-country skiing, there are trails that start right behind the hotel. During the snow-free period of the year, there are great opportunities for hiking, cycling, fishing and canoeing nearby.

Olarsgården was built during the 1940s, and its original name was Olarsängens Pensionat. The farm consists of a number of wooden buildings that have been moved to their present locations and linked to create a total of 12 hotel rooms. It was intended right from the start that the hotel would be small, with a high-quality restaurant. Our menu is centred on game courses from both forest and sea.

Enjoy the peace of Olarsgården while taking part in the wide range of activities offered by Sälen. Our small craft shop, Made in Sälen, sells locally produced items. Tina Falk is the current host at Olarsgården.

Accessibility for persons with disabilities

This symbol shows that the hostel conforms to recommendations from the De Handikappades Riksorganisation (DHR): the entrance is level, or there is a ramp with maximum gradient 5 cm/m. The front door of the hostel and doors into the guest rooms and toilets are wider than 80 cm. There is at least 80 cm free space at the side of the lavatory and 130 cm in front. The shower is suitable for use by persons with disabilities. There is wheelchair access to kitchens and common rooms. At least two rooms are suitable for use by persons with disabilities.

This symbol denotes that the hostel has a limited number of rooms for guests accompanied by pets. It is recommended that such rooms are booked in advance (except for at the mountain huts, where it is not possible to book in advance).
