STF Navardalens Vildmarksstation
At Navarsjön, in the northern wilderness of Dalecarlia, lies Navardalens Wilderness Station. Here, you find peace and tranquility in the land of the moose, bear and lynx. If you take interest in fishing, you might enjoy catching a trout or char in the lake.
Navardalen invites you to the peacefulness and tranquility of the kingdom of bears and moose. Here you can enjoy a nice dinner with friends, have a bath in the wood-fired sauna and refresh in Navarsjön’s crystal clear waters. Spend a night or more in the wilderness station where you fall asleep listening to the silence and wake up to the smell of freshly brewed, bear-strong coffee.
The Wilderness Station is located 32 kilometers north of Älvdalen and was founded on its present site in 1960. The initiative was taken by one of Älvdalens former tourist managers, Ove Zacheuson. Älvdalens Tourist Association runs the facility.
On Navardalens Wilderness Station, you can choose to stay in a room with a self-served kitchen, or in a detached cottage.
