STF Hostel Särna/Turistgården

At the gateway to the mountain world, the junction of forest and mountain, lies Turistgården, nestled amongst birch trees, pine and spruce. Here you can combine cosy living with outdoor pursuits and relaxation.

Hiking trails and exciting wilderness are close by and the larger ski facilities can be reached within half an hour.

The charming wooden house invites you to safe and pleasant living, in single or multiple-bed rooms, some with private toilet and shower. Built in the late 1890s, the house served for many years as the clinic and accommodation for the local provincial doctor.

The Turistgården is located just by the national park Fulufjäll with Sweden's highest waterfall Njupeskär. During the summer you can enjoy hiking and freshly picked cloudberries. There are also many fine lakes for fishing and canoeing in the area.
