STF Hostel Rättvik
Rättvik is all about knätofsar (traditional folk-music costumes), fiddler music and fäbodar (pastoral huts). It’s also about concerts in the magnificent Dalhalla theatre that is built into an old limestone quarry, motoring nostalgia and winter sports.
Rättvik has been a tourist destination for over a century, and the beautiful district offers silence and pristine wilderness - an exciting adventure for the whole family.
The hostel is relatively new and built in the genuine old wooden ‘dala’ style. The rooms have been newly renovated. There is a kitchen for self-catering and breakfasts served daily. The hostel is located within Rättviksparken’s recreational area, which has a campsite, cottages, swimming and folkpark (traditional outdoor entertainment space).
Siljan’s ice offers superb long distance ice-skating and kick sledding. You can also hike or bike along Siljansleden trail, take a dizzying ride on the Luge track or enjoy a round of golf at one of the nearby golf courses. Rättvik can truly be experienced all the year round.
