STF Hostel Stenungsund

This hostel in Stenungsund is situated on the outer point of a strip of land in the Hakefjorden with brilliant views across the bridges of Tjörn.

Beautifully surrounded by oak forest and with the ocean nearby, this renovated children’s holiday camp has been a hostel since 1983. The picturesque fishing villages on the islands of Tjörn and Orust are easily accessible from here. The Svartedalen nature reserve, just 5 km from the hostel, is a popular destination offering bountiful lake fishing and picturesque forest walks.

The hostel is a well known spot for local windsurfers and the long shallow bay just around the corner is perfect for beginners. There’s also a mini-golf course and volleyball field at the hostel, as well as kayaks and bicycles for hire. There are several golf courses in the area.
