STF Hostel Kärlingesunds Gård

Bokenäset is situated in the middle of Bohuslän, just north of Orust. Here you will find red cliffs rising from the ocean and the beautiful archipelago.

This area also has a rich cultural landscape with ancient monuments dotted amongst the thick beech and oak woods. The closest villages are Fiskebäckskil and Lysekil.

The hostel is located in the Kärlingesund nature reserve, which is famous for its open meadows and close proximity to the exciting waterways of Nordströmmarna – a paradise for kayakers. Guests get to enjoy a wonderful environment: the building began its life as a state house in the 17th century and the current buildings date from the 19th century, with a modern extension. In this imaginative house all rooms are unique, and leave no one unmoved.
