STF Hostel Kyrktåsjö

The Tåsjöbygden area dates back to the 18th century, but proper road connections were not established until a hundred years later. Nowadays many people visit to experience the rich flora, with its orchids and distinct mountain plants.

Others come here to experience all that the idyllic Norrland region has to offer.

The hostel is situated in a charming old vicarage on the lakeshores of Tåsjö. Guest rooms are located in the vicarage and adjacent wing building, and it’s just a few minutes walk to the private beach with barbecue. If the summer nights are cool, then there’s no better way to warm up than in the wood heated sauna or bathing barrel right next to the lake.

Tåsjöberget is the tallest mountain in Ångermanland with an elevation of 635 metres. Take a walk up the winding road to check out the superb mountain views. On a clear day you can see the Åreskutan mountain 200 km away.
