STF Hostel Köpmanholmen

Ångermanland is closely linked to the Höga Kusten (High Coast) and Köpmanholmen, an island in the heart of the Örnsköldsvik archipelago. From Köpmanholmen you can take a ferry out to many of the islands or simply enjoy the tranquillity of the archipelago.

The island of Ulvön is a fascinating destination: for centuries it has been a hub for the fishing industry and the heart of the Surströmming (pungent fermented Baltic herring) culture. The 300-year-old village of Sandviken, also located on the island, has recently been declared a culture reserve.

The hostel lies beside the Köpmanholmen docks with views over Nätrafjärden bay. Guests are accommodated in comfortable single, double or multiple-bed rooms. A large terrace next to the ocean offers wonderful balmy nights in the evening sun.
